What is Vision Network, and how is it different from nbn®?

Vision Network is an Australian wholesale access network provider, primarily providing network services to multi-dwelling units (MDUs), such as apartment buildings, and selected commercial buildings.

Unlike nbn®, Vision Network operates its own FTTB (Fibre to the Building) networks, providing eligible buildings with an alternative connectivity option to nbn®.

Where is Vision Network available? Is my address eligible?

Vision Network is available across selected areas in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA and ACT. Availability depends on the specific property and network infrastructure. Please contact our customer service team to confirm whether Vision Network is available at your address.

What Vision Network speed plans are available, and how much do they cost?

Various speed tiers are available for Vision’s fibre internet connections.

The Max plan operates on a best-effort basis, meaning the maximum speed available depends on the line conditions at your address and is not a fixed or guaranteed speed. Actual speeds may vary depending on factors such as the access technology and the quality and condition of the line.

Will a technician need to visit my property? How long does activation take?

A technician visit may be required depending on your address and installation requirements. If an onsite installation is not required, the service can generally be activated within 1–3 business days. If a technician visit is required, the activation timeframe will depend on appointment availability.

What type of router or modem do I need?

The required equipment depends on the access technology available at your address:

VDSL: You will need a compatible VDSL modem.
G.Fast: You will need a router that supports EWAN (Ethernet WAN).

If you don’t have one, Occom offers suitable routers for purchase, with discounts or free router offers available on selected plans

Are there any New Development Charges (NDC) or connection fees?

There is currently no connection fee for Vision Network services. NDC (New Development Charge) does not currently apply to Vision Networks FTTB services.
